Detechtion Technologies announced today the addition of several new key clients during the second quarter of 2008 and the achievement of a major horsepower milestone as it continues to expand the use of its “Enalysis” compressor optimization and fleet management program throughout the natural gas industry. New client additions over the past 3 months include:

  • Talisman Energy, an independent upstream oil and gas company headquartered in Calgary, Alberta. Talisman has operations in Canada and its subsidiaries operate in the UK, Norway, Southeast Asia, North Africa and the United States. Talisman's subsidiaries are also active in a number of other international areas.

  • Unit Corporation, a diversified energy company engaged in the exploration for and production of oil and natural gas, the acquisition of producing oil and natural gas properties, the contract drilling of onshore oil and natural gas wells, and the gathering and processing of natural gas. Operations are principally located in the Mid-Continent region. Unit's principal corporate offices are located in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

  • Tristar Oil & Gas, a company engaged in the exploration, acquisition, development and production of oil and natural gas reserves, primarily in the provinces of Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. TriStar's business plan is to create sustainable and profitable per share growth in reserves, production and cash flow in western Canada.

  • Quicksilver Resources, a Fort Worth, Texas-based natural gas and crude oil producer engaged in the development and acquisition of long-lived producing natural gas and crude oil properties. Quicksilver operates in Canada through its Calgary-based subsidiary, Quicksilver Resources Canada Inc., formerly known as MGV Energy Inc.

  • Mancal Energy Inc., a privately owned company based in Calgary, Alberta active in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin since 1999.

In addition, Detechtion announced today that it has achieved a significant milestone by eclipsing 3,500,000 horsepower of compression currently on the Enalysis Program in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Europe, West Africa, and Australia. “Having an industry proven technology combined with an efficient and dedicated Engineering Account Management team has allowed Detechtion to realize continued rapid growth, both in new customers as well as organic growth with existing clients” said Cavan Carlton, Senior Vice President & General Manager.

“Our focus remains on ensuring all of our clients are seeing regular and significant ‘wins’ from Enalysis – direct cash flow gains achieved by applying the Enalysis tools to their compressor operations. In today's high gas price environment even a tiny improvement in throughput or fuel efficiency, or an hour of avoided downtime can pay big dividends. It is not uncommon for our clients operating mid-sized equipment such as a Cat 3516/Ariel package to achieve cash flow gains in excess of 100 times the cost of our service.”
