Santos, Ltd. Selects Detechtion Technologies for Onshore Compressor Optimization & Fleet Management Services

Detechtion Technologies announced today the finalization of a contract with Santos, Ltd. to provide compressor optimization and fleet management services for the majority of Santos' onshore Australian compressor fleet.

Santos, Ltd. is a major Australian oil and gas exploration and production company headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia. With assets of nearly $7 Billion and annual production of 61 MMBOE, Santos is Australia's largest domestic gas producer. Santos provides gas sales to all mainland Australian states and territories, ethane to Sydney, and oil and liquids to domestic and international customers. The company is also active in Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, India, Kyrgyzstan and Egypt.

Santos recently initiated an industry-wide search for a compressor optimization tool to apply to its large fleet of reciprocating compressors. After an in-depth and extensive review period, Detechtion Technologies' “Enalysis” program was selected as the preferred application. Detechtion and Santos anticipate complete implementation of the compressor optimization and fleet management application within 60 days.
